New Data: podcast Listening Surges - 57 Million Americans Listening monthly

Thanks to our friends at Edison Research for sharing "hot of the presses" data about podcast consumption.  According to the latest Infinite Dial study, 57 million Americans have listened to a podcast in the last month.  That's up about 24% over last year and 75% over 2013. That means that more than one in five Americans are now listening. Hazzah!!  Edison will be releasing the full study later this week.

Jacobs Media also has released a preview of data from their annual radio station listener poll and will be presenting at the All Access Worldwide Radio Summit in April.  As we have seen in other studies, podcasting has great demos, with the largest impact in 18-34 year-olds.
